Description

The Beckett bridge is the latest link between the two sides of the irish capital Dublin and part of the new city quarter Spencer Dock. The bridge has been under construction in Rotterdam since 2007 and travelled in May 2007 seven days on board of a tanker through English and Irish waters. The bridge will have four traffic lanes, cycle tracks and footpaths and is capable of opening through an angle of 90 degrees. It is due to open in early 2010.
